Stanton too much for Laguna

Share

The Stanton defense reached the end zone on four occasions last

Saturday and the Raiders’ defense kept Laguna Beach off the

scoreboard in the process. The two efforts added up to a 26-0 victory

over the locals in a Pop Warner Football game played last Saturday

night.

The loss was the fourth straight for Laguna, which was coming off

a 14-6 setback to the Lakewood Longhorns, and a 26-0 loss to Long

Beach.

Against Lakewood Kameron Pearson scored Laguna’s only touchdown on

a 3-yard run.

Devin Hands and Shane Snyder were voted Laguna’s players of the

game in the Lakewood game.

Snyder was a key player on offense and Hands made some big plays

on defense.

Long Beach scored three, first-half touchdowns to open up a 20-0

halftime lead but Laguna’s defense stiffened in the second half and

allowed just one more touchdown.

Quarterback Trevor Pierce and receivers Lorenzo Torriero and Chris

Hyden came up with some big plays on offense for Laguna.

Torriero and Dillon Giariaffa shared player of the game honors for

Laguna.
