Reception for outgoing officials is Tuesday
Outgoing Costa Mesa City Manager Allan Roeder and City Atty. Kimberly Hall Barlow will be toasted at a public reception in their honor at City Hall on Tuesday, Costa Mesa officials announced in a news release.
The city is inviting everyone in the community to attend the reception for the two departing officials.
Roeder will be retiring after a career of more than 35 years with the city, which included 25 years as city manager.
Unlike Roeder, Barlow is not officially a city employee. The city attorney is employed by a law firm, Jones & Mayer, whose counseling services are under contract with Costa Mesa.
She had announced earlier that she was giving up her role as city attorney after six years because personal and business challenges required her attention.
Tuesday’s reception is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. in the lobby at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive.
