Costa Mesa, Newport announce closures, trash schedules

Some city buildings will be closed for the holiday weekend.

On Thursday and Friday, the city halls and public libraries for both Costa Mesa and Newport Beach will be closed.

Street sweeping will be postponed until next week for both cities. Trash normally collected Thursday will be picked up Friday, and trash normally picked up Friday will be picked up Saturday.
