CdM High’s Orchesis Dance Co. hosting dance camps

Elementary school students interested in dance can learn some moves from Corona del Mar High School’s dance team.

CdM’s Orchesis Dance Co. is hosting an afternoon dance camp for K-6 students from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the campus dance room, 2101 Eastbluff Drive.

The camp is for dancers of all levels who are interested in the Orchesis style of dance. Students will learn three styles from team members, receive a Orchesis camp T-shirt and snacks.

At the end of the camp, students will perform the routines they learned for their families.

Students should wear dance clothing, dance or tennis shoes, and their hair in a ponytail.

Pre-registration is $45 and is due by Thursday. Mail a check, made out to CdMHS Orchesis, to Deanna Socoloske at 16 Seabluff, Newport Beach, CA 92660, with the dancer’s name, grade, age, T-shirt size, level of dance, parent’s name, email, parent signature and an emergency contact number on a piece of paper.

Walk-up registration is $50 and will take place from 1 to 1:30 p.m.
