Crown Ace Hardware will send letters to Santa

Orange County children will get a chance to send Santa Claus their Christmas wish list via letter this season.

Crown Ace Hardware is offering a North Pole Express mailbox at its location, where letters to Jolly Old Saint Nick can be dropped off.

The mailbox drop off, now in its second year, will be offered at all 10 locations in the county, including Huntington Beach, Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.

Tables with pens and paper will be available in the stores for children to write their letters. If a stamped self-addressed envelope is dropped off with the letter by Dec. 1, a response will be mailed to the children.

“We offered Santa’s mailbox last year and we were amazed by the response,” Crown Ace Hardware President Mark Schulein said in a statement. “The season is all about joy and we were thrilled as a family-run company to be able to treat our customers like family, to give back to our community and spread holiday cheer to the kids.”
