Share

The Costa Mesa Police Department will welcome the public this month as part of the city’s yearlong 60th anniversary celebration.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 15, the department will offer tours of its headquarters, at 99 Fair Drive, show historical exhibits and give demonstrations featuring patrol, traffic and SWAT officers. Department retirees and former police chiefs will be on hand to discuss their experiences in the city.

The department will also offer raffle tickets to those who bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more. The raffle prize is a helicopter tour through Orange County.

The toys will go to Crime Survivors, a nonprofit that assists survivors of violent crimes, according to a city news release.
