Breakdown: Corona del Mar (14-0) hosts Oceanside (11-3) in a CIF State Southern California Regional Division 1-A Bowl Game on Saturday at Davidson Field ... The Sea Kings won their sixth CIF Southern Section title last week, beating Simi Valley Grace Brethren 56-28 in the Division 3 title game ... Oceanside won the CIF San Diego Section Division I title, the program’s 17th CIF title, with a 28-10 victory over San Diego Lincoln at Southwestern College ... The Pirates were seeded just ninth in the draw but beat No. 8 Chula Vista Eastlake 10-0 in the first round, top-seeded Spring Valley Steele Canyon 26-19 in the quarterfinals and No. 4 San Diego Madison 45-21 in the semifinals before their title game win over No. 2 Lincoln ... Tua had 133 yards rushing and two scores in the title game win. CdM coach Dan O’Shea said he is as good as any running back that the Sea Kings have seen this year ... The Sea Kings and Pirates have a common opponent in San Clemente. Oceanside lost to San Clemente 35-13 on Aug. 23, which became a forfeit win after the Tritons were ruled to have used an ineligible player in all of its games. CdM beat San Clemente 42-21 on Sept. 26 ... Garbers is just one touchdown pass away from tying the CIF Southern Section and Orange County single-season record, held by Mater Dei’s JT Daniels in 2016 and Western’s Anthony Muñoz in 2018 with 67 each ... Humphreys is also one touchdown catch away from tying the Orange County single-season record of 32, set by Caine Savage of Western last year ... The winner of this game plays the winner of the Northern California Regional game between San Joaquin Memorial and San Mateo Serra for the CIF State Division 1-A championship. That game will be played Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. at Cerritos College.
