CHULA VISTA — Freshman outside hitter Sierra Brown, a Newport Harbor High product, recorded 21 kills to help lead the Pirates to a 23-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-20 nonconference win Wednesday.
Kayla Mayer, a freshman outside hitter, added 12 kills, while freshman setter Megan Ritchie amassed 45 assists and freshman libero Carina Perez finished with 25 digs for OCC (2-0).
Southwestern is 0-3.
The Pirates play host to San Bernardino Friday at 5 p.m.
