Sage Hill’s CJ McCord breaks school record in high jump
Sage Hill School junior CJ McCord cleared 6 feet, 9 inches to break a school record and win the high jump at the Ocean View Small Schools Invitational Saturday.
McCord’s mark is No. 2 in the state. Senior Eric Moore of Rialto Carter is No. 1 at 7-feet.
McCord’s 6-9 is an improvement of seven inches from his personal record last season.
He will compete in the OC Championships Saturday at Mission Viejo High.
