Crowds celebrate Vietnamese New Year at annual Tet Festival in Costa Mesa
Thousands of people are celebrating the Vietnamese New Year in Costa Mesa this weekend during the annual UVSA Tet Festival at the OC Fair & Event Center.
The event, organized by the nonprofit Union of Vietnamese Student Assns., kicked off Friday and continued Saturday with a bevy of vendors, exhibitors, carnival rides, cultural displays, live entertainment and more.
The festival runs through Sunday; hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Scheduled events include a dance competition, a floral contest and martial arts demonstrations.
General admission is $6. Children 2 and younger get in free. Parking is $8.
