Corona del Mar football cancels CIF championship parade

The Corona del Mar High football program has canceled a CIF championship car parade and ring ceremony scheduled for Friday evening, coach Dan O’Shea said Thursday.

O’Shea said the cancellation was due to current events in the country and world.

The Camp hosts drive-in concerts on Thursdays

Interested in eating out without having to navigate crowded dining rooms during a pandemic? The Camp in Costa Mesa is holding drive-in concerts every Thursday evening through July 2, from 5:30 to 7:30.

Participants can listen to musical acts and enjoy meals from one of several nearby eateries in the safety of their physically distanced vehicles.

“Concerts at the Camp” are intended to uplift and entertain the community with live entertainment — at a time when traditional concert venues remain closed — while drawing attention to retail tenants open for business and happy to serve.

Visitors can pre-order dinners or order food for pickup in the outdoor plaza and then listen to the free outdoor concert as they dine together in their vehicles.

California Public Health Department coronavirus guidelines and protocols must be adhered to at all times. For details and the line-up of musical acts, visit thecampsite.com/new-events.
