Devil Rays rally past Orioles, 10-9

Justin Sugamura scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth

inning to cap a late rally by the Devil Rays, who went on to score a 10-9

victory over the Orioles in Fountain Valley Little League Minor A

Division play at Mile Square Park.

Kyle Yoakum paced the Devil Rays on offense with two singles and three

RBI, and Kevin Smisko doubled and tripled.

Aaron Malais singled, doubled, had two RBI, and scored three runs,

Brenton McCarthy singled twice with an RBI, Jason Swanberg had two hits,

and Ryan Haskin and Kyle Myers each had RBI singles for the Orioles.

Angels 10, Diamondbacks 3

Skyler Winston’s two-run inside the park home run led the Angels, while

Chris Flowers singled twice with an RBI, Mitchell Tezak had two hits, and

Garrett James and Ryan Valencia each had RBI singles; Matt James and

Trevor Calhoon both singled for the D-backs.

Yankees 13, Reds 4

Mike Delicce singled, doubled, tripled and had two RBI, Drew Adams hit a

two-run single, Gordon Edwards had two singles and an RBI, Danny Dion and

Matt Hernandez each had an RBI single, and Jacob Gale, Zach Cardenalli,

Barry Neu, and Geoff Feltman each had two hits to power the Yankees; Joe

Fried singled and doubled, Jon Fried had two singles, Kevin Osaki hit an

RBI single, and Mitch Myers tripled to lead the Reds.

Mets 6, Dodgers 5

Andrew Stadnick, who also singled, hit a key two-run double in the fifth

inning to spark a Mets comeback, and Taylor Fah had an RBI for the

winners; Farzan Namvari had an RBI triple, and Jordan Weber singled,

tripled, and scored three times for the Dodgers.

MINOR B DIVISION

Devil Rays 17, Dodgers 8

A potent Devil Rays offense included two a single and double by Shaun

Moore, two singles apiece from David Self and Kevin Dion, and doubles by

Gus Rios and Stephen Andreen; Brian Enoka and Craig Sirois each had two

base hits to lead the Dodgers.

Mets 8, Braves 7

Ben Paparella singled twice and Garrett Davis doubled for the Mets;

Michael James singled and doubled twice with two RBI, and Alfred Holliman

singled, tripled, and scored three runs for the Braves.

Reds 8, Royals 5

Matt Ord singled twice with three RBI, Mike Elmore singled and doubled

with an RBI, Vinnie Parker singled twice, and Mohammed Alasker hit an RBI

double for the Reds; Austin Israelsky doubled and singled twice for the

Royals.

Angels 13, Yankees 6

Loren Robb had an RBI double, Magic Lucio singled with an RBI, Andy

Palacios had an RBI, and Michael Trenfield scored three runs for the

Halos; Tyler Buckles had a two-run triple, Zachary Frazier singled and

tripled, Jacob Bonham had a hit and an RBI, and Tyler Smith drove in a

run to lead the Yankees.
