Golf: Woodbridge tops Sailors, 193-205

SANTA ANA HEIGHTS - Four Newport Harbor High golfers finished

within a stroke of each other Tuesday, but visiting Woodbridge defeated

the Sailors, 193-205, in a Sea View League boys golf match along the

par-36 front nine at Santa Ana Country Club.

Woodbridge standout David Yoon shot even par to win medalist honors.

Newport Harbor fell to 3-10, 2-5 in league. The Tars host Back Bay rival

Corona del Mar today in a nonleague match at Santa Ana.

Brandon Sowers (40), Garrett Whitfield (40), Sean Whitfield (41),

David Motschenbacher (41) and Jeff Lerner (43) scored for Newport Harbor.
