Laguna Beach United Methodist Church

The Laguna Beach United Methodist Church will begin “Summer Sundays”

on July 7. This program is for Sunday School children ages pre-K through

third grade, and for children grades fourth through sixth attending

church with their parents at our 10 a.m. worship. The Family Choir will

Class of 1972

The Laguna Beach High School class of 1972 will kick off its 30th

reunion with a no-host alumni and faculty meeting from 7 to 10 p.m. July

12 at the Sandpiper, 1183 South Coast Highway. The reunion will take

place from 6 to 11:30 p.m. July 13 at the Hotel Laguna, 425 South Coast

Highway. The final event, a family picnic for the classes of ‘71, ’72 and

South Coast YMCA

The South Coast YMCA will host an AFAA Senior Fitness workshop for

fitness instructors. This one-day program will cover the essentials of

designing and teaching a safe and enjoyable fitness class for seniors.

Students will gain a basic understanding of the aging process and the

special considerations that are necessary in developing safe and

effective exercise programs for the mature adult population, healthy and

frail. The class will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 13. The class

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

South Coast YMCA

The Marian Bergeson Center and South Coast YMCA will offer a beginning

fundamentals basketball camp for second- and third-graders from 9 to 10

a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and for fourth- and fifth-graders from 9

to 10 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. The camps will begin on August 5.

The South Coast YMCA will offer a new class that addresses functional

strength, balance and stability for seniors. Led by a certified senior

The SilverSneakers Fitness classes are an ongoing series of classes

designed for strengthening and conditioning. The self-paced classes are

trained YMCA fitness instructor using skinfold and girth measurements.

The Celebrating Life Center will host “Seeing Yourself,” a body image
