HB Crush ties with Mission Viejo, 5-5
In a game that saw three lead changes and six tie scores, fittingly,
the AYSO Area K girls’ Under-12 Division playoff game between the HB
Crush and Mission Viejo ended in a 5-5 tie.
Mission Viejo entered the match unbeaten while the Crush came in
with a 4-0-1 record.
Kirsten Marony netted four of HB Crush’s five goals, one coming on
a solo breakaway from midfield.
Assists went to George Demes, Alison Hensley and Erika Longoria,
who scored in the third period.
HB Crush trailed, 5-4, heading into the fourth quarter. It was
there that Marony scored her fourth goal of the game, this one coming
on Longoria’s assist and tying the score.
Offensive support at midfield came from Arielle Freleaux, Osiris
Ceja, Alli Budd, Breanne Justice and Loni Dove.

Ripcurl 5, Jalepenos 0
Ripcurl continued postseason play with a shutout victory over the
Jalepenos.
Devon Shinn, Taylor De Grote, Kaycee Rogers and Cassandra Davis
all got into the scoring act, with Stephanie Schmidt and Yvonne Lake
each getting an assist.
Region 117 Under-10 Division
Hammerheads 3, Stingers 3
Danielle Duron scored all three Hammerheads goals as the teams
fought to a standstill.
Sara Dadahboy, Erin Dyer and Brooke Webster all scored for the
Stingers.
Region 56
Sour Grapes 2, Allie’s Angels 1
Brittani Glendon scored both goals as the Sour Grapes upset the
first-place Allie’s Angels.
Stephanie Diciurcio had one assist and Abby Kerfoot and Melody
Sainz shared goaltending duties for the winners.
Assisting on defense were Rachael Adair, Auryell Garcia, Kelsey
Kennedy, Marissa Norton and Natalie Rossa.
Melysa Siller, Sabrina Hoyle, Julianne Lucas and Megan Kabre aided
the offense.
