Fashion course ... Marine Corps Pvt. Kyle A. Casillas, son of Terry

and James T. Casillas of Costa Mesa, recently completed 12 weeks of

basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot. Kyle A. Casillas

graduated from Estancia High in 2003 ... James E. Garmon former OCC

and Coastline Community College administrator was selected as

president of Orange Coast College’s new Emeritus Institute ... Rachel

Perez Hamilton, Costa Mesa resident and former president of the OCC’s

Alumni and Friends Assn., was recently selected as the vice president

of the Emeritus Institute ... Judy Lindsay of Costa Mesa was selected

as secretary and treasurer of the Emeritus Institute ...Marine Corps

Lance Cp;. Nicholas B. Zeramby, son of Sherry A. Zeramby of Costa

Mesa and Scott A. Zeramby of Albion, recently returned from an

eight-month deployment embarked on board the USS Iwo Jima while

assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary, bases in Camp Lejeune,

N.C. ... Frank Normandin of Costa Mesa was recognized by the Rotary

Club of Santa Ana as October Student of the month at Mater Dei High

School. Normandin is active clubs in clubs, the Associated Student

Body, Campus Ministry and athletics. He has a 3.27 grade-point

average and is involved with the National Honor Society, Renaissance

and speech and debate.
