Duke’s Men to sing at Senior Center

The Duke’s Men of Yale ? an a cappella singing group ? will perform at the Laguna Beach Senior Center’s general meeting, at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 13 at the Veterans Memorial Community Center, 384 Legion St.

The Duke’s Men were formed in 1952, when, the story goes, Basil Duke Henning, Master of Saybrook College and former Whiffenpoof singer, stole a “Whiff” arrangement and presented it to four of his students.

The group is the youngest all-male a cappella group at Yale, and has entertained around the world, was featured on CBS’ ‘Sunday Morning,’ and performed at the White House, at Westminster in London and in Paris.
