Board Clerk El Hathaway pulled an item from the consent calendar regarding preseason salaries for coaches hired by the Athletic Boosters.

He said that he had been of the impression that the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) doesn’t allow districts to pay for preseason salaries, but that he may have been misled. He added that if it’s true that the district would be able to pay for preseason coaching, it should be added to the district’s budget.

Board member Jan Vickers then suggested that people who are hired by the Performing Arts Boosters also be paid for by the district.
