English language classes for adults set

The Laguna Beach Unified School District Adult Education Program is offering free English as a Second Language classes beginning on Sept. 8, through June 18. Classes are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Laguna Beach High School, Room 90, 625 Park Ave. The location is above the swimming pool. For more, call (949) 497-7700, ext. 210.

Huntington guided tour offered in September

Laguna College of Art & Design will host a docent guided tour of the Huntington Museum and Gardens in San Marino on Sept. 13. Art lovers of all ages are invited to join with college faculty, staff and patrons for an afternoon of art appreciation and inspiring education.

The day trip includes transportation aboard a luxury motor coach, admission to the museum, docent guided tour of the historic estate and gardens, and lunch. The bus will depart Laguna College, 2222 Laguna Canyon Road, at 9:30 a.m. and return at about 4:30 p.m. Cost is $80 per person. The Huntington was founded in 1919 by railroad and real estate developer Henry Edwards Huntington and opened to the public in 1928. The Huntington is a research and educational center set amidst 120 acres of gardens. Three art galleries and a library showcase collections of paintings, sculptures, rare books, manuscripts, and decorative arts.
