Boys & Girls Club offers ping-pong

If one of your favorite recent movies was “Balls of Fury," the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach has an event for you. The Boys & Girls Club is holding the inaugural Canyon Court Classic Table Tennis (Ping-Pong) fundraiser March 28 and 29.

The action gets underway at 10 a.m. at the gym of the Boys & Girls Club, 1085 Laguna Canyon Road. The tournament is open to all ages and there are three competition categories: men’s and boys’ singles, women’s and girls’ singles and co-ed doubles.

Each competitor will get a minimum of three games, and the top three in each age group receive prizes from various community sponsors, including Victoria Skimboards, Taco Loco, Adolfo’s Mexican Food, Costa Azul, Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt and Laguna Tattoo. All proceeds will be used to support youth programs and finance the tournament.

For questions, contact Dakota Sottosanto of the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach at (949) 494-2535, ext. 106, or DakotaS@Bgclaguna.org.
