 Answer questions regarding fixed-income investments;

 Explain the difference between annuities, variable annuities and mutual funds;

 Explore factors to consider with long-term care insurance; and

 Define differences between asset managers, financial planners, stockbrokers, bankers and insurance agents.

Workshop participants will not be approached to make charitable contributions or purchase financial products, and speakers and presenters will not receive their contact information.

Pompeii exhibit excursion planned

Seniors are invited to join the Susi Q Senior Center for a day at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on June 1 to see “Pompeii and the Roman Villa,” with about 120 works of sculpture, painting, mosaic and luxury arts.

Recent discoveries from around the Bay of Naples that have never been exhibited in the United States will complement more familiar finds from earlier excavations.

The trip includes round rip transportation, a guided tour of this special exhibit, followed by a gourmet boxed lunch and free time to explore the museum’s permanent collection at your leisure.

The group will leave at 10 a.m. and return to the center at 5 p.m.

The cost is $74 per person. To join in, call Trudi Joyce (949) 497-9986.

Seniors offer day trip to wine country

The day will include a drive to the Winchester Cheese Company for a guided tour of the cheese making process and dairy business — samples included.

En route to the Callaway Winery, the trip will include lunch at Mimi’s Cafe, then on to a guided private tour of the winemaking facility, followed by tasting of six of the varietals.

All guests will receive a souvenir logo glass and a discount on purchases made at the visitors center.

Space is limited.

The cost is $87 per person and reservations must be received by April 11.

To sign up, call Trudi Joyce, (949) 497-9986.
