Hospital names advisory council members

Some familiar names popped up Wednesday when Mission Hospital Laguna Beach released a partial list of the Advisory Council members.

The list included only council members who approved the release to the public. The list was requested by South Laguna residents who attended the first community forum on the Laguna Beach campus. Additional names will be released if approved by the members.

The names of Chairs Tim Carlyle, Dan Kelly and Melinda Masson had been announced previously.

Council members include Dr. David Ashkenaze, Hobie Sports owner Mark Christy, automobile dealer Don Crevier, Susi Q Executive Director Bea Field, Michael Gosselin, Helping Hands founder Sita Helms, Laguna Beach Unified School District Board of Education member Betsy Jenkins, retired Orange County executive Eric Jessen, Arts Commission Chair Pat Kollenda, Design Review Task Force Chair Matt Lawson, Tim McMahon, Jon Stillman and Robert Jack Aplin.

The hospital also announced that the pet therapy program is back at Laguna Beach. A more formal schedule will be finalized in the coming week, but the first pet therapy visit occurred Tuesday night.
