TIM WATKINS

While visiting his family in the Central Valley for the holiday, Tim Watkins suffered fatal injuries in a collision on a two lane country highway on Saturday, November 28th. Tim was born in Hollywood, California, in 1960 and grew up in Los Angeles, Avila Beach, and Costa Mesa. He was a graduate of Costa Mesa High School and a proud graduate of the University of Southern California. After graduation, he lived for a time in San Francisco before returning to Orange County. He played rugby for USC and for the Back Bay Sharks. He was a solid runner, a tremendous bodysurfer and a fiercely competitive Bocce baller. In fact, he was seriously considering taking on those old Italian guys who play every day at Aquatic Park in San Francisco. Tim was so proud of his children, Brooks and Molly. He was a wonderful and devoted father, brother, son, uncle, and friend. Words cannot express the loss of such a vivid, loving, and generous person. It is difficult to imagine life without his exuberant spirit, contagious laugh, ironic sarcasm, and razor-sharp wit. He will be missed by many. Tim leaves behind his mother Thea; father Chuck; stepmothers Susan and Joan; and stepfather Art; children Brooks and Molly; brothers Chip, Marcus, Kevin, and Jason; sisters Peggy, Brandy, and Jenny; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah. Services will be held this Saturday, December 5th at 12:00 PM at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children of Tim Watkins Memorial Fund at Farmers & Merchants Bank 1750 E. Seventeenth
