Nick I to sing on Christmas Eve

All are welcome to join singers Nick I and Mary Scifres, accompanied by Pam Wicks on piano and Bob Hawkins on guitar, at Neighborhood Congregational Church’s Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Thursday

The Rev. B. J. Beu will describe Jesus’ birth, and Nick I will debut a new composition reflecting on the shepherd’s experience of Christmas and sing his Laguna Christmas original “It Never Snows.”

Choral music, hand-bell music, flute music from Laguna Beach High School student E. J. Kramer, and traditional Christmas carols, along with candlelight and “Silent Night” will round off the special service.

Christmas plans at St. Mary’s

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will hold a series of Christmas services.

The schedule is:

7 p.m., Monday: Taize Worship;

4 p.m. Christmas Eve: Pageant with Carols and Holy Eucharist;

10:30 p.m. Christmas Eve: An Evening of Carols and Holy Eucharist;

10 a.m. Christmas Day: Hymns and Holy Eucharist; and

10 a.m. Dec. 27: Christmas Lessons and Carols and Holy Eucharist.
