Sally Ann Schiff Goodman: May 10, 1960 - May 28, 2010

Sally Ann Schiff Goodman, 50, of Newport Beach, passed away May 28, 2010, having fought a valiant battle with cancer. She was born May 10, 1960, in Palos Verdes.

Sally was a highly accomplished amateur athlete and a graduate of San Diego State University. She held numerous positions in the retail fashion and apparel industry, including buyer at Nordstrom Inc., president of Pacific Eyes & T’s, and most recently, founder and president of Eilatan, an online retail shoe business, with stores in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Sally is survived by her husband, Daniel Goodman, and daughter, Natalie, of Newport Beach, (a sophomore at Newport Harbor High School); her father and stepmother, Hans and Merle Schiff, of Vista; brothers Peter (Karen) Schiff, of Ramona, Calif., Bruce (Maryanne) Schiff, of Vista, Thomas (Wendy) Schiff of Corona del Mar, and sister Carol (Ron) Serono, of Paradise, Calif.; stepdaughters, Lisa (Jason) Myers, of San Diego, and Lori (Michael) Greiver, of Ramat Beit Shemash, Israel; sister-in-law Rebecca (Arthur) Silver, of Philadelphia; and brother-in-law, Andrew (Dory) Goodman, of Urbandale, Iowa; 10 stepgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were June 1, at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside, Calif.

A memorial fund has been established in the memory of Sally Goodman at the Newport Harbor Educational Foundation (NHEF), to benefit the music program at Newport Harbor High.
