Elderly people and sports. What are you going to say? I knew going into the assignment that it had the potential for interesting pictures that you don’t see every day. What I found is that most of the participants in the senior games were thrilled to be out of their care facilities and were truly enjoying the activities. I was looking for happy people, and when I saw Bulock’s smile and face while waiting in line for the basketball hoop I knew that I would have a good picture. I positioned myself with my lens right off the hoop and shot a number of frames. It worked well that another senior in a wheelchair passed by just as Bulock took a shot.
