Two hurt in Costa Mesa crash

COSTA MESA — Two people suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a trauma center in Santa Ana on Thursday morning after a crash on the southbound Costa Mesa (55) Freeway near Fair Drive.

The force of the accident turned over a Toyota sedan, which remained upside down for a period of time.

The crash occurred about 8:45 a.m. and blocked the No. 1 and 2 lanes, authorities said. It was not immediately clear if other vehicles were involved. The lanes were cleared by 9:30 a.m.
