Area 1

Hawthorne Drive: A woman reported that people were delivering snakes to her front porch in the 300 block at 8:40 p.m. April 20. She refused to speak to police at her door and was believed to be mentally ill. Family was later contacted after repeat 911 calls.

Emerald Bay: A possible injured sea lion was reported at the beach at 11:30 a.m. April 21. It was going in and out with the tide. It was turned over to Pacific Marine Mammal Center.

Myrtle Street: A person reported that several cars in the area were egged during the night at 10:12 a.m. April 22.

Cliff Drive: A biker was reportedly hit by a taxi cab in the 300 block at 7:07 p.m. Monday. The biker suffered minor injuries.

Area 2

Laguna Canyon Road: A traffic collision was reported in the 900 block at 9:53 p.m. April 21. A car veered off the road and took down four parking meters.

Laguna Canyon Road: A person reported that three or four trash cans were strewn across the road between the 405 and 73 freeways at 1:55 p.m. April 22. Cars were swerving to avoid them.

Laguna Canyon Road: A Mission Viejo man was arrested on suspicion of a DUI in the 20000 block at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday.

Area 3

Alta Laguna Boulevard: A woman reported her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 3200 block at 8:27 p.m. April 20. She reported a loss of $1,800.

Alta Vista Drive: A man reported that someone called him claiming to be the FBI in the 800 block at 8:35 a.m. Saturday. The person said that he was also told he won money from the Publisher’s Clearing House. He believed it was fraudulent and that they weren’t with the FBI.

Blumont Street: A hit-and-run was reported in the 500 block at 8:42 a.m. Monday. A district maintenance van was hit.

Park Avenue: A man reported he was being threatened by another who worked for his landlord in the 400 block at 10:08 p.m. Monday. He said the man entered his house while he was in the shower and said, “If you do not get out by Sunday, something is going to happen to you.”

Park Avenue: A person reported that a man was playing guitar badly and loudly for the past three days in the 200 block at 3:28 p.m. Monday.

Area 4

Cress Street: A man was reportedly drunk in public near South Coast Highway at 9:08 p.m. April 20. A passerby noticed he could not walk or stand up after leaving the Sandpiper. A cab transported him to the Holiday Inn.

Brooks Street: Two children were reportedly boxing in the rear of the Sandpiper at 11:55 a.m. April 22. Another child was videotaping the fight. The reporting person could not tell if it was real or fake.

Brooks Street: Two Laguna Beach women were arrested for resisting arrest in the 100 block at 11:55 p.m. April 22. One was additionally cited for unlawful license use.

Cress Street: A New Jersey resident was arrested on suspicion of a DUI at 3:20 a.m. Saturday.

Oro Street: A homeless man was reportedly biking and then fell in the street in the 1000 block at 2:23 p.m. Saturday. A person reported that the man had fake blood on his head and then rode away.

Dyer Place: Indecent exposure was reported in the 1000 block at 9:40 a.m. Monday. A person reported that the subject was masturbating while watching workers. They did not want to prosecute. The subject was counseled by police.

South Coast Highway: The Casa Laguna Inn reported that a guest damaged a painting at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday. The loss was estimated at $2,500.

Area 5

South Coast Highway: A man was reportedly standing in the street holding a stop sign near Montage Resort at 8:52 a.m. April 20.

South Coast Highway: A San Clemente woman was arrested on suspicion of a DUI near Montage Resort at 10:22 p.m. April 22.

Sandpiper Drive: A dog attack was reported in the 700 block at 7:47 a.m. Saturday. A person was reportedly bleeding in the street.

South Coast Highway: A person reported that men, whom they believed were affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan, approached them, asking for directions, in the 3000 block at 12:25 a.m. Sunday.
