The Habit Burger Grill is holding “pre-opening” events at its new Aliso Viejo location Sunday and Monday, with proceeds benefiting three charities: Savannah’s Organic Ranch, the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. and Share Our Strength.

From noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, 100% of sales will go to Savannah’s Organic Ranch. Known for its farm, the Aliso-Viejo based nonprofit also raises money for pediatric cancer research.

Then, from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, dinner sales will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Assn., which spends 76 cents out of every dollar donated for research, services and education.

Lastly, Share Our Strength, the nonprofit dedicated to eradicating child hunger, will receive proceeds from their Monday sales between noon and 2 p.m.

“At The Habit, we feel it’s important to ‘do our part’ in the communities in which we serve. We are also new neighbors in these communities when we open a Habit there, and what better way to introduce ourselves than by hosting various charity events that benefit area children and families?” Mike Mirkil, vice president of marketing at The Habit, said in an email. “We’ve worked with Savannah’s Organic Ranch, MDA and Share Our Strength in the past and believe in the great work they all do to help provide children and their families with better lives.”

The Habit is at 26921 Aliso Creek Road. Its grand opening is Wednesday.
