Morningside Recovery president pleads guilty, court records show

Morningside Recovery President Raymond Jeffrey Yates pleaded guilty Friday to spousal injury, according to court records.

While the exact terms of the sentencing were unavailable Saturday, Yates could face up to three years of probation, court-ordered participation in a batterers’ treatment program and jail time.

Yates, 44, of Newport Beach, was arrested in early December relating to a Dec. 4 dispute he had with his wife at their Dover Shores house in the 1900 block of Commodore Road, according to the Daily Pilot. .

The verbal argument between Yates, who is 6 feet 4 and 195 pounds, and his wife turned violent, according to the article.

Yates posted bail, set at $50,000, Dec. 5, according to court records.
