A Huntington Beach man who was stabbed in a Costa Mesa park was on the phone with his mother at the time of the attack, police said Monday.
The 22-year-old was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana with wounds to his abdomen and back after he was stabbed in Talbert Regional Park, 1298 Victoria Ave., at 5:26 p.m. Saturday, according to Costa Mesa police Lt. Tim Schennum.
No suspect description information was available. Police said the victim was uncooperative about providing additional details on the incident.
