Firefighters collecing items for Marines
Newport Beach firefighters are collecting care packages and individual donations for the city’s adopted Marines battalion, the 1st Battalion 1st Marines. Double AA batteries, toiletries, foot powder, beef jerkey and other snacks that don’t melt are on the list of requested items.
A flyer announcing the drive also requests a “letter or notes thanking our Marines for their service.”
