KOCI 101.5 FM will air debates this week on the two major ballot measures before Newport-Mesa voters this election season.

At 6 p.m. Tuesday, the Costa Mesa-based radio station will air a live debate on Measure V, Costa Mesa’s city charter initiative. Mayor Pro Tem Jim Righeimer and Planning Commissioner Robert Dickson will speak in favor. City Councilwoman Wendy Leece and community activist Perry Valantine will speak against.

For the debate on Newport Beach’s Measure EE, which would institute 38 amendments to the city’s charter, City Councilman Keith Curry and resident Joe Stapleton will debate in favor. Stapleton served on the Citizens Charter Update Committee.
