UCI police do push-ups for wounded veterans

UC Irvine police will do push-ups to raise money for veterans and their families this weekend at City Hall.

A team comprised of UC Irvine Police Chief Paul Henisey, Corporal Chris Bolano, Officer Annie Nguyen, Officer Paul Riscalla and Officer Matt Wroblewski will compete with other teams to squeeze as many push-ups as they can into 90 seconds.

The teams are asking for donations for the Boot Campaign, a nonprofit that assists wounded veterans.

The event is organized by the Irvine Police Department and Custom Bodies Fitness gym in Irvine.

The teams will compete from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.
