Golfers will play for charity

Laguna Beach City Councilman Kelly Boyd will hold his 10th annual golf tournament May 12 to benefit several charities.

The tournament will be held at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo. The $175-per-person cost includes free range balls, lunch, after-golf cocktails, dinner, a silent auction and a raffle, Boyd said.

Proceeds will benefit the Laguna Beach High School boys and girls golf teams, the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, Laguna Beach Community Clinic, Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Laguna Beach Seniors and the Friendship Shelter, Boyd said.

Check-in begins at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Golfers will play a best-ball format.

Interested players can pick up registration forms at Wayne's Barber Shop, 214 Beach St., or the Marine Room Tavern, 214 Ocean Ave.

For more information, call Boyd at (949) 463-8089.

Arroyo Trabuco is at 26772 Avery Pkwy.
