Cancer survivors and their supporters glided over the waters of the Back Bay on Saturday for Standup for the Cure Newport Beach, a paddleboarding event to raise money for breast cancer detection and treatment.

The event featured paddleboarding clinics and races, breast exams and melanoma screenings, a blessing of breast cancer survivors and more.

It is a project of the Susan G. Komen organization.
