Shoppers at Roger’s Gardens in Corona del Mar are experiencing an early spring tradition: Tomatomania.

While the plant nursery will continue selling tomato plants through the year, the nursery’s largest tomato plant sale will end Sunday. Garden staff said “Tomatomaniacs” can find more than 200 varieties of heirloom and hybrid tomato seedling plants on sale in addition to a variety of peppers.

Tomato expert and owner of Tomatomania Scott Daigre explained the differences between various tomatoes Friday morning as part of a livestream for the sale at the local nursery.
