Girl Scouts show state parks some love at Crystal Cove event

Nearly 150 Orange County Girl Scouts of all ages turned out with their families to Pelican Point in Crystal Cove State Park on Sunday as part of the first nationwide Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend.

The Crystal Cove festivities, presented by Girl Scouts of Orange County in collaboration with California State Parks, included a guided hike, a water safety discussion led by state park lifeguards, a beach cleanup and weeding project, and beach-themed crafts and other activities.
