Raiders, Watt out shine Flash

Andrew Watt led a Raiders scoring attack last weekend that saw

five players net goals in a 9-0 shutout of the Flash in a Lemieux

Division match.

The shutout was recorded by Jason Gutierrez, who came up with 22

saves.

In addition to Watt’s game-high scoring performance Taylor Apostol

posted two goals and Ryan Ivora and Josh Rice each scored once.

In other games:

Raiders 4, Metal Mulisha 1

The Raiders picked up their second win of the past week by

outscoring Metal Mulisha, 3-0, in the decisive third period.

Andrew Watt, Taylor Apostol and James Higgins each scored in the

third period and Watt and Josh Rice each had an assist.

Apostol scored off a Watt’s feed in the first period to give the

Raiders a 1-0 lead.

As he did in the Raiders’ 9-0 win over the Flash, Jason Gutierrez

had 22 saves.

A Mark Miller assist led to a Ricky Olson score in the opening

period for Metal Mulisha.

Ryan Turchi finished with 23 saves.

Snipers 6, Extreme 3

Andrew Yates’ two goals topped the Snipers in their win over the

Extreme.

Matthew Marchand, Brandon Harada, Weston Bales and Kevin Tanaka

completed the scoring for the Snipers with one goal apiece.

Assists went to Bales, Tanner Marsey, Jason Almeida and Mike

Shuttleworth, who finished with two.

Chaz Grant had 21 saves.

Matt Landon scored twice for the Extreme, Stephanie Martin scored

once and Anthony Capriccio and David Lachman each had an assist.

Matt Jankowski recorded 19 saves.

Hawks 11, Flash 5

David Evans and Devon Thormodsgaard each scored three goals to

power the Hawks.

Joshua Heyman and David Mattatall each scored two goals and Brian

Kaminsky scored once, Mattatall and Thormodsgaard each collected two

assists and Heyman and Jeremy Escalante each had one.

Aman Virk had 18 assists.

For the Flash, Jared Yonekura and Jesse Morrill each scored twice,

Harry Graves had a goal and two assists and Blake Easton had 20

saves.
