Having played seven games in the city of Laguna Beach sponsored

men’s 16 slow pitch softball Fall League schedule, no team has yet

taken command of the race, as just 1 1/2 games separate the teams

occupying first through fourth place.

Ganahl Lumber handed front-runner Courtesy Auto Body its second

straight loss by scoring an 11-10 victory at Riddle Field.

Gary Rauch hit a double and two singles to pace a Ganahl Lumber

hitting attack that saw Robert Bonn, Mark Judy and Greg Wallace each

finish with two hits.

Paul Corey’s two-run homer and single led Courtesy Auto Body.

Michael Buchanan, Dave McKinley and Jos Vega each added a pair of

singles.

Sandpiper 19, Team Viagra 5

The easy victory allowed second-place Sandpiper to move within

one-half game of Courtesy Auto Body in the league standings.

Mickey Allen, Steve Lafferty and Ryan Neptune combined for 15 RBIs

for Sandpiper. Allen homered and singled three times to account for

six RBIs, Neptune homered twice and tripled for five RBIs, and

Lafferty also homered twice and singled two times for four RBIs.

Nate Pivaroff homered with three RBIs and Dave Brobeck doubled and

singled for Team Viagra.

Good, Bad and Ugly 7, Hobies 7

Richard Collin hit a two-run home run for Hobies as the two teams

fought to a tie.
