The “Ultimate Laff-Down” Quarter Finals No. 3 comedy competition
will be hosted by Martini Blues. The show will begin at 8:30 p.m. at
5874 Edinger Ave. There will be a $5 cover charge and a $10 drink

Adventure Playground, a playing experience for children, will be
open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at the Central
Park, 7111 Talbert Ave. Children can raft on a small pond, navigate a
rope bridge, use a cable slide, go down a mud slide and build forts.
Children must wear tennis shoes and be prepared to get dirty. This
experience is suitable for kids 6 to 12 years old. Adult supervision
will be provided and tickets are $2 to $3. Enter from the Central

Campfire Storytime, an activity that will include s’mores, stories
and songs on a summer evening in the Huntington Beach Central Park,
will take place at 6:30 p.m. at Cental Park, 7111 Talbert Ave.

FRIDAY
“Pride and Prejudice” will be performed at Golden West College.
Jane Austen’s story is described by the college as a fast-paced
romantic comedy. The show will run through Sunday. The 8 p.m. show
will be on the Mainstage Theater at Golden West College, 15744
Goldenwest St. Tickets will cost $11 for general admission and $9 for

The Pier Plaza Art A-Faire,
held at the outdoor Pier Plaza next to the Huntington Beach Pier,
will feature more than 50 vendors selling unique, handmade gifts and
crafts. The Art A-Faire will be open from 10 a.m. to sunset.

SATURDAY
Dance for the Waves, a Polynesian luau featuring Hawaiian music,
tiki torches and hula lessons, will be held Saturdays at Pete
Mallory’s Surf City Sunset Grille. Guests will receive their own lei
before the buffet meal. Check-in will begin at 7:30 p.m. The event
will be held through Sept. 4. The restaurant is at the Hyatt Regency
Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, 21500 Pacific Coast Highway. The price
for adults will be $65; children between 5 and 12 will be charged
