SURF CULTURE REDUX

The Laguna Art Museum will present a reconfigured exhibit of the

most well attended show in the museum's history, "Surf Culture -- The

Art History of Surfing." The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to

6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and

Saturday through Oct. 2 at the Laguna Art Museum, 307 Cliff Drive.

The theme for this year's production is "Portrait of the Artist,"

and the show will continue the tradition of showing live models

re-creating famous masterpieces. This show event will feature live

More than 175 artists will show their creations in the 38th annual

Sawdust Festival. The festival is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily

FOREVER PLAID

The Plaids will perform hit songs from the 1950s in a show that

will feature "outlandish choreography" and "over-zealous precision."
