Grand opening this weekend

The renovation of one of Laguna Beach’s key historical sites is complete, and The Old Pottery Place is having a weekend “Renovation Celebration” Saturday and Sunday.

The public is invited to come to the party and take a look at the renovated complex, formerly known as The Pottery Shack, a collection of 1920s-era buildings that housed a pottery-making business for many years.

Festivities include special activities for the entire family — from trunk shows to glass-blowing demonstrations, shoe giveaways to live jazz, plus special sale items throughout the center.

The Old Pottery Place is located at 1200 So. Coast Highway, at the corner of Brooks Street. Shops are open seven days a week. The center is handicap accessible, and there is free parking in the rear.
