Martin earns another honor

Share

Senior Cheyne Martin, the top scorer on the Laguna Beach High boys’ basketball team this season, has been named to the 2006-07 Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches’ Assn. Division IIIA team.

Martin, the lone Breaker on the team, averaged 28.3 points per game, although he missed nearly half of a season in which Laguna posted a 23-6 record and won the Orange Coast League championship.

His 28.3 average is the second-best single-season mark in school history, Laguna Coach Bret Fleming said.
