Family Fun Night planned for May 16

The Laguna Presbyterian Church is planning a Family Fun Night and Fiesta Bingo from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 16 in Fellowship Hall at the church, 415 Forest Ave.

There will be dinner, bingo and a bouncy slide and bouncy house, with Mexican food cooked to order by Tacos El Salmantino. Dinner is $7 for adults, $5 for kids, or $20 for a family of four. Bingo cards are $2. For reservations call (949) 494-7555.

‘The Shack’ discussed at meeting

The public is invited to a discussion series led by Beth Pinney on the best-selling book “Finding God in the Shack" at Laguna Presbyterian Church, 415 Forest Ave.

There are two meeting times: 10:30 to noon May 11 and 18 or 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 12 and 19. A final combined group gathering will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 24. To sign up, call (949) 494-7555) or e-mail bap1223@mindspring. com.

Biblical Reflections course offered

The Rohr Jewish Learning Institute will unveil its spring course, “Biblical Reflections: Finding Yourself in the Book of Genesis," in May. The six-session course examines classic stories from Genesis in a modern light.

The course will be taught at the Chabad Jewish Center, beginning at 7 p.m. May 13 for six consecutive weeks.
