Steven Nichols, Rutan & Tucker, LLP, Named One Of Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers

Steven Nichols, a top trial lawyer at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, has been named one of the state’s Top 100 Lawyers in the annual list assembled by the editors of the Daily Journal, California’s largest legal publication.

Nichols is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, co-chair of the Construction Law Group, and a specialist in construction law, business law and business litigation. He represents large and small companies, contractors, institutional and private owners, manufacturers, developers, design professionals, lenders, and others in business law and litigation matters. He recently obtained large arbitration awards for contracting firms against the California State Department of Transportation, and won a substantial jury verdict for race car driver and team owner Robby Gordon of NASCAR and Dakar Rally racing fame.

Nichols has extensive experience in state, federal and appellate courts, and alternative dispute resolution venues and also serves as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association large complex case panel of arbitrators.

Nichols received his law degree from the University of Southern California School of Law in 1980 and his undergraduate degree from California State University in 1977. He was also named a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2006.
