Surf group benefit at Blue Laguna

The Blue Laguna Restaurant and Lounge has teamed up with the Mauli Ola Foundation for a night of dancing to help support CF Surf Experience Days for children with cystic fibrosis.

The event begins at 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a $5 cover. Surprise guest pro surfers will be on hand.

The Mauli Ola Foundation was founded in 2008 to promote awareness of genetic disease and support for patients. One of the Foundation’s programs is Surf Experience Days that pair professional surf instructors and novice surf students who have cystic fibrosis.

Wahoo’s Laguna Beach celebrates ‘21’

Wahoo’s Fish Taco is turning 21 and the Laguna Beach Wahoo’s at 1133 S. Coast Hwy. will open its doors at 11 a.m. Saturday, and begin handing out presents to customers.

To thank the community, each attendee will receive a gift from Wahoo’s, ranging from free meals to gift cards.

“Everyone who visits their local Wahoo’s to celebrate our milestone will get a present from us,” said Wing Lam, co-founder of Wahoo’s. “The past 21 years have been amazing and the founders are expressing their gratitude to everyone.”
