Judith Kay Lezama Dec. 2, 1940 - Aug. 2, 2010

Judith Kay Lezama passed away peacefully Aug. 2, 2010, at the age of 69, in Newport Beach. Judy was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and grew up in Youngstown, N.Y. She moved to Orange County in 1961 and married Gerald Lezama, her husband of 48 years, in 1962. Judy spent 40 years traveling the world with her husband, who worked for an international engineering and construction firm.

Judy took an interest in the communities wherever she lived, got to know the cultures, and easily befriended the people around her. She loved people and never met a stranger. Her outgoing personality, kindness and sense of humor are foremost in the memories of those who knew her. She was active at Mariners Church, the Ritz Sisters, and Newport Harbor Republican Women.

Judy’s highest priority was her family. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lezama; two brothers, Denny Comerford and Tom Comerford; two daughters, Lisa Rhodes and MiYoung Booij; and five grandchildren Shelby and Shannon Rhodes, and Jennifer, Jeffrey and Jerry Booij.

She was very much loved and will be greatly missed by many.

A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Aug. 8, followed by interment at Pacific View Cemetery.
