Rounding up funds

COSTA MESA — Riders saddled up “horses” at South Coast Plaza on Tuesday night to participate in the Carousel of Possible Dreams, presented by the Festival of Children Foundation.

Almost $55,000 was raised to benefit the equine therapy programs at Mustard Seed Ranch and the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center.

There were more than 100 attendees at the event and 25 riders who were challenged to raise $500 each using their cell phones and networking skills before exiting the carousel. This was the fourth year the event has been held at South Coast Plaza.
