Costa Mesa seeks committee applicants

The Costa Mesa City Council is looking for residents to serve on six council committees.

Interested individuals can fill out an application on the city’s website. The deadline for submission is 5 p.m. Oct. 3.

The Cultural Arts Committee promotes the “City of the Arts” as a destination and is involved in City Hall’s Youth Gallery and maintaining a directory of local artists. The council will appoint four members and two alternates to the committee.

The Historical Preservation Committee advises the council on how to maintain and promote historic locations. The council will appoint one member and one alternate.

The Redevelopment and Residential Rehabilitation (3R) Committee advises the Redevelopment Agency and council. The council is looking to appoint five members and two alternates.

The Investment Oversight Committee reviews the city and Redevelopment Agency’s portfolio and investment strategies.

The Costa Mesa Senior Center Board of Directors is looking for one director to serve a two-year term. The council will name one member and one alternate to the Treasurer Committee.
